The Divine Maltese Champions
105 champions owned or bred since 1992.
- 105Champions owned or bred
- 53Champions sired by Indy
- 2004AMA Platinum Breeder
- 1999 to 2003AMA top co-breeder
A champion title is an outside judgment: a dog has been measured against the breed standard, by judges who owe the breeder nothing, again and again until it has earned the points. These are the dogs that have carried the Divine name into the ring since 1992, and the parents and grandparents of the puppies available today.
The Dogs Behind the Kennel
Indy
Ch. Marcris Indecent Proposal ROMX
Indy gave his children true silk coats, balanced outlines and an elegance that runs through every generation since, whether he was line bred or outcrossed. He sired fifty-three champions, and the ROMX after his name marks him as one of the breed's great producers.
Divine
Ch. Marcris Divinely Risque' ROMX
Indy's half sister and the other half of the foundation. She produced fifteen champions and was the American Maltese Association's Top Dam in 1999, 2000 and 2001.
Pepper
Ch. Rhapsody's White Pepper ROM
The first champion Divine Maltese finished, at about four and a half pounds. Among her three champion offspring is CH Divine's Royal Flush, the kennel's first homebred champion.
Puzzle
Int. Ch.Rhapsody's Indecent Mystery
Best of Opposite Sex at Westminster in 1997, a group winner the following weekend and the third ranked Maltese in the country that year. He later won a Best in Show in Italy.
Elmo
BIS CAN BISS Ch. Divine's Risque' Moment
Winner of the American Maltese Association National Specialty in 2000, the number one Maltese in all systems that year with the Pedigree Award, and a Canadian champion in three shows with a Best in Show.
Marc
Multiple BIS BISS Am. Can.UK. Ch. Divine's Marc Of Friendship
Co-bred with Sheila Riley of Malt Angel's. A multiple all breed Best in Show winner within months of starting as a special, and Best of Breed at Crufts in 2006 and again in 2007, when he also won the Toy Group.
Jack
BIS BISS Am. Ital. Intl. Ch. Divine's Dare To Believe
He finished at eight months, then went to Italy, where he won two international all breed Bests in Show and a Best in Specialty.
Shine
BISS Am Can Ch Divine's You Are My Shining Star
Reserve Winners Bitch at the American Maltese Association National Specialty in 2005 and 2006, and Best in Specialty at the Maltese Club of Greater Miami in 2006.
