Maltese Show Puppies
Show prospects from champion lines, placed when they are old enough to be judged honestly.
Every litter here is bred with the show ring in mind, but no one can tell at eight weeks which puppy will become a champion. That is why show prospects are not listed with the pet puppies and do not leave until they are at least six months old.
Why Six Months?
By six months a Maltese has its adult teeth, the bite is settled, the outline and movement are coming into focus and the coat shows its texture. Placing a show prospect at that age means you know what you are getting, and so do we.
How a Show Puppy Is Placed
- Every show placement is on its own written terms, agreed individually with the new owner.
- The puppy is AKC registered and leaves with its health certificate and vaccination record.
- Both parents are tested for patellar luxation, heart defects, eye disease and liver shunt.
