Retired Adult Maltese
When a show or breeding dog retires, it deserves a home of its own.
No retired adults are available right now. When one is, it is placed with a pet home where it can be the only dog on the sofa, and families who have asked are told when one is.
Why Choose an Adult Maltese?
An adult comes with its size, coat and character already known. There is no guessing at an adult weight, and most retired dogs have long since outgrown puppy chewing. A retired Maltese can still have many years ahead: the breed often lives twelve to fifteen years or more (see Maltese lifespan).
What to Expect
- A dog used to being groomed and handled.
- An adjustment period: a dog who has lived with other Maltese may need a little time to learn life as a single dog.
- The same promise as every dog we bred: if you can no longer keep it, it comes back to us.
Ask to Be Told
Send a message through the contact form or call (856) 394-0451, and say a little about your home. If you would rather start with a puppy, the puppies available now are listed with their photos.
