Teacup Maltese Puppies for SaleThree teacup-sized Maltese puppies are looking for homes: Cody and Callie, a brother and sister, eight weeks old, white, and the two smallest of their litter, and Miki, a female of the same age and size. They are AKC Maltese from health tested parents, raised in our house in the New Orleans area, and they go home at twelve weeks for $600 each. If you have searched for a teacup Maltese for sale and found nothing but marketplace listings and four-figure prices, this page is the alternative.
Two more puppies, Mashi and Maru, nine weeks old, are on the available puppies page. They are not listed here because this page is about the three we call teacup-sized. What teacup means hereThere is no teacup breed and no teacup category in the AKC standard, which already asks for a Maltese under seven pounds. When we call Cody and Callie teacup-sized we mean exactly this: they are the smallest puppies of a normal litter, out of normal-sized parents, and they will mature at the small end of the breed. We will tell you what we expect each to weigh grown, as an honest estimate and not a guarantee, because nobody can guarantee an adult weight from a puppy and anyone who does is guessing with your money. What we will not do is what the word usually hides: breed runts to runts, hold a puppy's weight down, or send one home at six weeks so it looks smaller than it is. The teacup Maltese page covers all of that in full. What the parents were tested forBoth parents passed the four tests this breed needs, and the certificates are shown before any money changes hands:
What each puppy goes home withVaccinations to date for its age, worming, a veterinary examination and certificate of health, the shot record, AKC registration on Limited Registration, a written health contract, a week of the food it is eating, and the one thing a small puppy needs most, which is the extra four weeks: pet puppies leave at twelve weeks, not eight, so that a teacup-sized puppy arrives eating well and with the reserves to settle without a sugar crash. The first weeks page is written for small puppies in particular. Price$600 each. The size does not change the price; we charge for the puppy, not the word. Travel, if you need it, is quoted for your route and paid by the buyer. There is nothing else to pay. The teacup Maltese price page explains why that is a fraction of what the word usually costs. Teacup Maltese for sale near youWe are in the New Orleans area of Louisiana. Families within driving distance, which covers Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, east Texas, Arkansas and the Florida panhandle, usually collect in person and meet the parents. For every other state a flight nanny carries the puppy in the aircraft cabin, under the seat, and hands it to you at your airport the same day; a puppy this size is the easiest thing in the world to fly that way. Ground transport over two to three days is the third option. We never ship a puppy as cargo. Tell Angie where you are and she will quote the route; the near me page says more about buying from a breeder you cannot visit. How we place themPet puppies go on AKC Limited Registration and a spay or neuter agreement and are not for breeding. Nothing we breed may be resold; if a home does not work out, at any age, the dog comes back to us. The terms are published in full on the puppy contract page so you can read them before you commit. We would rather you asked about every clause now than discovered one at handover. Ask about Cody, Callie or MikiAngie Stanberry answers every enquiry herself: the contact form, (856) 394-0451, or divinemaltaol.gmail.com@gmail.com. Say which puppy, where you are, and roughly what your household is like. Small puppies suit quiet households and careful hands; if yours is not that, she will say so. Questions people askHow much is a teacup Maltese? From us, $600, the same as any other puppy we breed; travel is quoted separately. Elsewhere the word "teacup" commonly adds thousands to the price of the same breed. The size is a fact about the puppy, not a reason to charge for it. What does teacup-sized mean here? The smallest puppies of a normal litter, from normal-sized, health tested parents, expected to mature at the small end of the breed. There is no teacup breed and no teacup category in the AKC standard, which already asks for a dog under seven pounds. Cody and Callie are registered as Maltese, because that is what they are. How old are the puppies when they leave?Twelve weeks. A small puppy needs the extra four weeks with its litter to eat reliably and build the reserves to settle in a new home without a blood sugar crash. We do not release puppies at eight weeks. Can a teacup Maltese travel to my state?Yes. A flight nanny carries the puppy in the aircraft cabin, in a carrier under the seat, and hands it to you at your airport the same day. Ground transport over two to three days is the alternative, and families within driving distance of New Orleans usually collect in person. A puppy never travels as cargo. Are the parents health tested? Both parents passed patellar luxation, cardiac examination, a CAER eye examination and bile acids testing for liver shunt. The certificates are shown before any money changes hands. |
